Here are a couple of masculine birthday cards I made this week using some bits and pieces and also my new Sew Stamper (made by We R Memory Keepers). I love the look of stitching on cards and layouts, so it was inevitable that I would have to give this product a go. It gives a different look to real stitching, faux stitching drawn by hand and my fabric tracing wheel which I really like. There are a few different versions of it ie double line stitching, blanket stitching, zig zag and the one I used for this card. They work in a similar way to the Sew Easy which is also made by We R Memory Keepers.
The two cards are pretty simple and I have to confess I am usually less motivated to spend heaps of time on masculine cards since I don’t think they notice the details as much. Don’t get me wrong I still think it is important to make and give masculine cards though!
Here are the basic details of the cards. This first card was made for someone who loves to travel. The paper is from Tim Holtz and has been inked and sprayed with some glimmermist. The stamp set used was Congrats by Hero Arts.
The second card uses Kaisercraft patterned paper, sentiment from Hero Arts Birthday set, the Sew Stamper and the ink used was Broken China.
Hope you are having a great week.
