Here is a Christmas Card made using alcohol ink. This one uses the stamp ‘Christmas Tree Blueprint’ by Stamp It. I like this image because it is a little different to the normal kind of Christmas images. I can imagine it working really well with the emboss resist technique and different distress inks. If you want to find out more about Adirondack Alcohol Inks, check out the Ranger websitehere or a video showing Tim Holtz demonstrating how to use alcohol inks here.
Supplies: Glossy Cardstock, Paper trimmer, scissors, Black Stazon ink, Stamp – Christmas Tree Blue Print by Stamp It, Ribbon, Black cardstock, White cardstock, Silver Paper, Gems, Alcohol Inks by Ranger – Cranberry, Red Pepper, Pearl mixative, blending solution, alcohol blending tool and felt pads, foam adhesive, double sided tape, Sizzix Big Shot and Stars and swirls embossing folder.
Method: I put drops of alcohol ink randomly on the felt pad, then a few drops of mixative and then some blending solution over the top and then randomly dabbed the paper til I got the coverage I wanted. Then I stamped the image with stazon ink twice. I trimmed the silver and black papers to size and adhered together. I cut the Christmas tree and the circle out and mounted onto the main image with foam adhesive. I cut the white cardstock to size and put it through the Big shot with the stars and swirls embossing folder. I finished assembling the card as shown in the photograph and tied some black dotted ribbon in a bow.
