Bird Collage and Kasiercraft Sweet Nothings Card

Hi all,

I made a set of 10 cards as a gift for my mother in law, as it has become a bit of a tradition.  I will post a pic of the set after this one.   They are simple and fairly quick cards.  This card is the card I made for my mother in law for her birthday though, which took a little bit longer than the cards in the set :).

Supplies: X press It  blending card, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Stamps – Hero Arts Bird Collage, Clear set – Essential Messages, We R memory keepers pink thread, Old Paper Distress Ink, Victorian Velvet distress ink, foam blending tool, Patterned paper – Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings 6×6 paper pad, White Cardstock, Tim Holtz distressing tool, paper trimmer, scissors, double sided tape, Copic markers – R22, G000, G00, Yg63, Yg67, E93, E95, E25, E29, E11, Atyou spica pens.

Method:  I stamped the bird collage stamp onto blending card and coloured with my copic markers.   I then used old paper distress ink over the image and then flicked water over it to give it an aged look.  I distressed the edges with the distressing tool and rolled the edges a little.  I distressed the edges of the blue patterned paper and inked the butterfly patterned paper with victorian velvet distress ink.  I stamped the sentiment on the blue patterned paper.  I changed the colour of the pink thread by inking it with victorian velvet ink and tied a bow as shown.  I cut the card base to size and inked with old paper distress ink.  The card was stuck together as shown.

Thanks for visiting my blog.
