I did a copic marker demonstration at Southern Stationery (remember I am not copic certified) and told the ladies who attended that I would post the card I had made using the warm greys and the markers that I used. The markers used were W0, W1, W2, W3, W5 and W7 and here is the card. I don’t yet own the W9 and the W00 (but they are on my wish list!) When you are colouring an image to be monochromatic, you are going to need a range of markers in the same colour family so that you can get the shading and dimension in your image but if you are just wanting to colour a section of your image in grey then you would be able to use just 2 or 3 markers. I like to use my W0, W1 and W2 to give a ‘floor’ for my images to stand on sometimes and I also use these same markers to ‘colour’ white in images with warm tones. I use C0, C1 and C2 for cool tones.
The background was made using an embossing folder, my sizzix and pumice stone distress ink. The shape is a Nestabilities Label 6 (I think) and inked with pumice stone distress ink. The resin flowers are Kaisercraft and the girl stamp is a Kaisercraft stamp from the new Lil Primrose Collection. The words are from Hero Arts.
