I made this card for my mum for Mothers Day and fitted it with the Copic Oz challenge for May which is about flowers. I picked out Fancy Marci for this card as she is just too cute for words and has a flower in her hat, and coloured her with my copic markers. I have a 6×6 paper pad of Charlotte’s Dream which is a fairly recent Kaisercraft release (lots of beautiful greens, peach, creams and some brown patterned papers). I wanted this card to be special so I decided to give it some shimmer using my Calico Shine mist and some pearl paint around the edges. I also used the pearl paint on my die cut leaves and also on the embossing folder of the butterflies. I highlighted Fancy Marci with my Atyou Spica Pens. I stuck a silver butterfly sticker onto acetate and then coloured over the whole lot with my copic marker R02 so that it wasn’t silver and whilst still shimmery was a better colour for my project (the silver was just to ‘bright’) and I also coloured the gems the same way. Once the ink was dry I cut the butterfly out. These are the main components of the card and the die cut sentiment was from the paper pad. I outlined the peach frame with a spica pen to give it a more ‘finished’ look. Since there was a lot of shimmer on this card I took 2 photos so that it gives a better idea of what the card looks like in real life. If you want more details about how I made this card, leave me a comment and I will be sure to post a reply.
