Tigerlily Acetate Butterfly Card

Hey Everyone,

I am back with the last butterfly acetate card for now.  This one features the papers from the Kaisercraft Tigerlily collection 6×6 paper pad.  The butterfly on this card was created in the same way as described in the post below but with an extra step of removing some of the colour using alcohol gel (I use hand sanitiser ie Aquim or other brand of your choice).  This is a great way of  ’fixing’ any mistakes or just giving the embellishment a different look.  The colour on this butterfly is much more subtle as quite a bit of the colour was removed but I have other butterflies where I have removed only a little bit of colour which I also like.  So once again, have fun and experiment!  These acetate embellishments look great over text backgrounds and don’t forget that you can use other shapes too, like flowers, clouds etc.

I have one more card to post that will show you a technique for creating a copic marker background on acetate.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.
