I was very excited to get some new La La Land Stamps and some of the new La La Land dies last week, so had a great time getting them out and making today’s card. I also got a set of Limited Edition Copic Sketch markers that were recently released to celebrate the 25th Copic Marker Aniversary – always exciting to get some new colours!. I coloured Daisy Faerie Marci with my Copic Markers and added some glitter using my Atyou Spica pens. I die cut the very cute heart picket fence and some flowers and the large flourish (which I trimmed to make the flower stems). I was pleased with how well the dies cut out (and no, I don’t get any benefit from saying that, they just cut really well!) I can see myself getting a lot of use out of these dies. I coloured the leaves and flowers to match with my faerie.
I made the background of the card by masking off the area using post it notes and then applied Dusty Concord Distress Ink using my foam blending tool. I then carefully flicked a little Calico Shine, which I think makes it look like stars in a purple night sky. I then adhered all my pieces in place using liquid adhesive and foam adhesive for Daisy Faerie Marci. The sentiment comes on the same rubber stamp as Daisy Faerie Marci and was stamped on white card. I trimmed it to make it like a banner and adhered it to the card using foam adhesive.
I plan to add this to the La La Land Crafts Customer Gallery as I think the theme is still stars and I am counting my background as a starry night sky. I am enjoying starting to play along with some more themes and challenges. Thanks for stopping by. I’ll be back tomorrow with another sneak peek for the weekend workshop.
