Yesterday had the feel of summer is coming, with the warmer and longer day. I made this card whilst my husband was making fruit icy poles for our kids using the zoko pop maker (the kids love them!). I haven’t made a vintage style card for a little bit so I made a simple card that could be used to give to either men or women. I really like the hot air balloon paper and thought it matched really well with the sentiment in this frame. The sentiment frame is from the Collectables pack from the Periwinkle Collection. To make the frame stand out a bit more, I coloured the frame with my versamark pen and then put clear embossing powder over it. After it was heated it gives a nice shiny clear finish that just adds that little extra detail, even if you can’t really see it in the photo. I pleated the orange patterned paper and trimmed the ends. The edges were distressed using a distressing tool or curled and then inked with black soot distress ink.
Hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by.
