I has been a while since I made a tag and I had a tag that I had swiped through some left over glimmermist before Christmas. I added some distress stains to my kraft sheet and swiped the tag through the stains to add to the background and give more coverage to the tag. I experimented a bit with some embossing powder and a stencil but it didn’t quite work out how I hoped !
I had some new Maya Road wooden birds that I have been waiting to use. I used some Tarnished Brass Distress stain to colour the bird and also stamped a love definition stamp using Sepia Archival Ink onto the bird. The Tarnished Brass distress stain was used to colour the metal love heart as it was originally silver and I used Vintage Photo distress stain on the Kaisercraft frame. The crinkle ribbon was also coloured with assorted red distress stains as well as the tarnished brass.
My copic markers were used to colour in a clear jewel pin, both the jewel (R59) to make it red and also the pin section (E33) to change it to a more bronze colour. I think that pretty much covers the main parts of how I made the tag but if you have any questions, leave me a comment and I will be sure to reply.
Thanks for stopping by.
