Togetherness Canvas

Hi everyone,

I have created this canvas for a good friend of mine as a gift and thought I would share it here.  I am loving making canvases at the moment and experimenting with different products to create textured backgrounds.  I have used a bunch of stencils, texture paste, distress paint, inks, stamps and glimmer mist for this particular background.

The photograph I chose had an over-exposed background in one part of the photo so I gave it a darker vignette and then swiped antique linen over some parts of the photo and around the edge.  The ink of the photo slightly interacted with the paint, which gave it a look I was really happy with for this canvas.  I used some flocked paper and swiped that with antique linen to match it to the canvas.  I created a frame around the photo using some wood icons from Prima, to make sure that the photo stayed the focal point of my canvas.

I layered up a bunch of different flowers, a prima vine, some metal flowers, flourishes and other bits and pieces.  I found the metal ‘togetherness’ tag (which I have had for years) and added it to the chipboard heart.

If you have any questions about the canvas or any of the materials, please leave me a comment and I will sure to reply.  I decided the materials list would be ridiculously long to type out but will happily tell you what I used if you are interested.

Thanks for stopping by,

Kristy
