Signature Bear Layout

Hi everyone,

This week has been a busy week on my blog!  Today’s layout was created for the Get It Scrapped article about scrapbooking photographs of objects.  I chose to document the story about my signature bear but other team members showed favourite coffee cups, found items, dog tags that belonged to their grandfather and other items too.

My Mum made me this signature bear when I was finishing high school and lots of my friends signed it, so whenever I look at it, it brings back lots of memories of those people.  When I photographed my bear I put it in front of a window and deliberately over-exposed the background as I wanted lots of white space around in the bear in the photo.  All that white means that it stands out against my background and it is clear that my photo is the focal point of my page.

I chose these MME papers since the hot air balloons support my theme with the idea of ‘Spread Your Wings and Fly’ which is what things are like when you are finishing up something like school.  I tucked my journalling into a paper bag and I kept my title simple.

I’ll be back next week with some Thank You cards – it is coming up to the end of the school year here so it is time to make thank you cards for my children’s teachers.

Thanks for stopping by,
