Well the renovations on our house are in full swing and we have made ourselves a temporary wall so we can keep the dust out and still live in part of the house whilst the renovations are being done on the other side. The computer issues are sorted and so I have a bit of catching up to do, so I will be posting a few posts over the next couple of days.
I also got an exciting delivery last week – the latest edition of Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercrafts which has a set of cards I made featured in the 10 Quick Cards section. It brightened a day that was otherwise quite stressful 🙂
Now onto some layouts I made for Get It Scrapped. The first layout was made for the blog article titled Scrapbooking ideas inspired by Doris Sander where the idea is to look at a person’s work, in this case, Doris Sander and to take inspiration from some of the design ideas, style and techniques that she uses on her pages. The idea isn’t to try and copy or even to make pages exactly like her but rather try out some of the things that create her style.
So my page was about my youngest son trying on his Dad’s shoes and incorporated stitching, handwritten journalling, strips of washi tape and including journalling a little beyond the obvious that are part of Doris style. You can see the article here at the Get It Scrapped Blog and you can check out the Get It Scrapped pinterest board of Doris’s pages here or go over to her blog .
Thanks for stopping by,
