My scrapbook page ‘A Passion for Puddles’ was inspired by a couple of Free Public Domain images and was created for the Get It Scrapped article which you can read here. I just loved the picture of the girl peering out the door, getting ready to go out in the rain. It reminded me of our family and our love of splashing in puddles. We are well known in the street for this. You can see the images I used here and here
The drawings inspired me and reminded me I had some photos of a trip we took to the zoo on a rainy day when I had just got a new camera a few years ago. It had a special setting that created ‘line style’ images and I had played with and taken a few photos. I also used the ‘Stylize’ function in Photoshop to alter some other images from that day. I put my photographs together with free public domain images to create a grid style background for my page. I kept the rest of the page pretty simple with some white, a colourful photograph and supporting embellishments. I had been waiting to use those felt clouds and some October Afternoon raindrops for ages.
If you want more ideas and to see some different types of images you can use from the public domain head on over to Get It Scrapped. There is also a link to a pinterest board of images to get you started.
Thanks for stopping by.
PS Looking forward to a busy weekend of scrapbooking at the Weekend Workshop this weekend.
