This is a blog for me to share my papercraft creations, including scrapbook pages, cards and beyond the page projects. I have young children which keeps me pretty busy but I still try to make time for crafting. I love copic markers, distress inks, stamping with paint on scrapbook pages, Mister Huey’s Calico Shine, stitching on my projects, Hero Arts stamps, Penny Black and La La Land stamps (as well as a whole bunch of other stuff!). My favourite paper companies are Echo Park, Simple Stories, My Minds Eye, Elle’s Studio, Prima (but really I love them all!). I am not copic certified yet (but would love to be!) so I just try to share the things that I have learnt and what I would have liked to know when I started out with my copic markers. I would describe my style as fairly clean and simple, but I do like to try a range of techniques so I think my style is evolving and changing. I hope you enjoy looking at my work. Please don’t copy my work exactly but I would love it if you are inspired by it and can link back to my blog
I am fortunate to be part of the design team for Southern Stationery and contribute to the Stefs Paper Crafts Blog, so Stef will give me products at times but I don’t write about or promote a product I don’t like, so if I say I love something and it think it is great, then I really do. I also teach some classes from time to time.
I am part of the Get Scrapped Creative Team for this year. The Get It Scrapped Blog shares lots of different scrapbooking ideas and has galleries and forums that you can join. Debbie Hodge owns Get It Scrapped and creates a number of different online classes teaching story telling and design principles for scrapbookers. There are a couple of free classes that you can take too.
My current blog header was made by me (this is my first attempt at using digi products – I know I have a lot to learn), using a kit called Sunshine Girls from Studio Flergs and Zoe Pearns http://shop.scrapbookgraphics.com/Sunshine-Girl-kit.html
