Twiddleybitz Advent Calendar House using Handmade Holiday Collection

Hi Everyone,

The first of December is fast approaching and my youngest boy is old enough now to have an Advent Calendar.  I love the Handmade Holiday Collection by Simple Stories and so I decided to make his calendar using some of the patterned papers from the collection pack.  I painted the wood with a snow cap paint dabber to give it a bit of a ‘whitewashed’ look and used Rock Candy Dry Glitter on the patterned part of the house. The boxes were cut out using my Cricut Expression and the Tags, Bags Boxes and more cartridge.  The number stickers that came with the collection were not quite the right fit for the boxes in this house so I used some from the Kaisercraft Turtledove Collection – Numbers Sticker Sheet as they matched pretty well and will be easy for him to read as he gets older.  If you look closely you will see that there is a couple of bits missing from the chimney section – I tidied up my table yesterday and have put them away somewhere !  When I find them it will be pretty easy to just add them on.

If you are interested in seeing the other advent calendars I have made you can click on the category on the side bar and it will bring up the other 3 I have made.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Thanks for stopping by,

Kaisercraft Turtle Dove Christmas Card

Hi everyone,

I know it is only September but I got the new Kaisercraft Christmas Collections so thought I would make a Christmas Card.  This card features the collectables from the Turtle Dove Collection and some patterned papers from the paper pad.  The card came together quite quickly as the papers are lovely and there are lots of different items in the collectables that can easily be clustered together to make cards.  Since there was a Merry Christmas Sentiment I didn’t even need to break out my stamps.  I coloured the pearls to match my card using my E79 copic marker.

I have been busy preparing projects for another In-store Weekend workshop with Stef in October.  I am super excited about catching up with some of the same ladies hopefully, and also meeting some new faces.  I will start to show some sneak peaks in the coming weeks.  If you are interested in coming along, let Stef know as places will be limited.

Hope you had a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Supplies: Cream Cardstock, Antique Linen Distress Ink, Kaisercraft Turtle Dove Collection – Collectables and Patterned Paper pad, Red Gems, Pearls, E79 Copic Marker, Small Circle Punch, Foam Adhesive.
